Visitors to the Lyngrove Estate enjoy a very special brand of Cape hospitality.

In a wonderfully secluded area, ideally situated in what is known as the “golden triangle” of the Cape Winelands, you’ll find Lyngrove Estate. Less than an hour from Cape Town, between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, their special brand of Cape hospitality is waiting for you. In this peaceful haven of understated colonial luxury, surrounded by the majestic Helderberg mountains, they produce an exceptional range of wines under the Lyngrove range of labels.

Lyngrove Vineyards are the classic example of quality grapes resulting in quality wines. Their 80 ha vineyards have nature’s advantage of superior soils, gentle slopes and the cooling influence of the Atlantic Ocean – perfect conditions for slowly ripening grapes with concentrated flavours. Each of the wines embodies the rich complexity of the soils of the unique Cape winemaking region and reflects the renewed South African dedication to maintaining exceptional winemaking standards.

Lyngrove enjoys a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and winter rainfall. Maritime influences from the Atlantic Ocean and the moderating effect from the legendary southeaster wind called “the Cape doctor,” ensures an ideal climate for our vines.

This winery is also strongly committed to the environment and social responsibility. They are certified by the following bodies:

  • WIETA is a multi-stakeholder, non-profit voluntary organisation which actively promotes ethical trade in the wine industry value chain through training, technical assessment and audits to assess members’ compliance with its code of good practice.
